Agricultural giant John Deere issued a statement Tuesday, updating what appears to be all of their diversity, equity and inclusion policies (DEI) and sending them into oblivion.

The statement pretty much speaks for itself, telling customers that their “trust and confidence in us are of the utmost importance to everyone at John Deere,” in a post shared on social media. An accompanying screenshot of a longer comment, where the company announced the revision of policies to “best serve” their “customers and employees.”

Moving forward, John Deere pledges to “solely focus on sponsorships supporting the business and brand,” as well as aligning their non-profit sponsorships to center on what the company believes are priority areas. Examples include: “hunger, economic development, poverty alleviation,” the sciences, support of servicemembers and veterans, and of course, agricultural education.

“We will no longer participate in or support external social or cultural awareness parades, festivals, or events,” the statement goes on. John Deere’s business resource groups will now “exclusively be focused on professional development, networking, mentoring, and supporting talent recruitment efforts.” (RELATED: Food Security Isn’t Being Tracked, According To Scientists. Is it just me, or does this basically read like John Deere is done with identity crap, and is just going to focus on being a great company? While this news probably has you chanting “USA! USA!” please remember that the company also announced lay offs impacting around 610 people while moving production abroad … so how pro-America are these guys right now, really?

John Deere’s decision makers probably want you to think they’re very pro-America. They’re also dropping all “socially motivated” messaging from training materials and policies. They also reaffirmed that John Deere has never had “diversity quotas and pronoun identification,” and they never will. (RELATED: Farmers Issue Huge Warning To All Americans)

“We fundamentally believe that a diverse workforce enables us to best meet our customers’ needs and because of that we will continue to track and advance the diversity of our organization,” the commitment statement concludes.

The policy updates came after a slew of allegations about John Deere’s global identity politics, DEI, etc, support were posted on social media by filmmaker Robby Starbuck. “We’re going to see companies begin to now proactively eliminate DEI and woke policies to avoid being the next story,” Starbuck told the Daily Caller. “DEI is poison and we won’t rest until the public knows how far once great companies have strayed from American values. Americans deserve sanity at work and they deserve to know their hard earned money isn’t being used for activism.”

John Deere did not immediately respond to Daily Caller’s request for comment.
