An employee of an Oakland, California, liquor store appeared to pull a gun on a mob of bike-riding teens while he fought them off from assaulting him, widely circulating social media video shows.
The video shows the employee standing in front of the store surrounded by a group of young men when one of them slams him in the face with a right hook. Numerous other assailants then begin to kick and punch the man as he backs into the entrance of the liquor store, a video posted by Collin Rugg shows.

The mob crowds him and continues beating on him until he pulls out a firearm and the crowd scatters, an alternate angle shows.

The worker brandished the firearm and swung it around, pointing it at multiple people, though he did not appear to fire it on video.
The incident occurred at the Golden Hours Liquor Store on International Boulevard in Oakland on Saturday, according to the New York Post. (RELATED: Videos Appear To Show Gunfire Erupt At Religious Gathering)
While the worker didn’t appear to fire the gun, Oakland Police responded to the incident to to investigate a ‘ShotSpotter activation,” a technology that detects gunfire, they told the Daily Caller.
Police located evidence of a shooting, but no victims who sustained a gunshot wound, they told the Caller.
