Legendary singer Bon Jovi helped save a woman in distress as she seemingly prepared to take her life by jumping off a bridge Tuesday.
The famous singer was filming a music video for “People’s House” at roughly 6pm on the John Seigenthaler Pedestrian Bridge in Nashville, Tennessee. During filming, he and another female noticed the woman in distress, the cameras kept rolling as the two made their way to assist, according to TMZ.
The woman in distress was standing on the outer edge of the bridge with her arms on the rails, seemingly contemplating jumping off. Bon Jovi approached her and began speaking to her from just a few feet away. The female he was with moved in a bit closer to the woman on the other side of the bridge.
It’s unclear what the famous singer was saying to the woman, but the video showed that they conversed for several moments before the frightening situation seemed to become more peaceful. Bon Jovi exchanged words, presumably convincing the woman not to end her life, and the female that had accompanied him slowly put her arms around the woman to stabilize her. The video shows Bon Jovi doing the same, as he physically helped the woman safely climb over the rail. She made her way back on to the bridge, out of harm’s way.
