Kathleen Parker has a surprisingly fair-minded, even sympathetic interview with Todd Palin:
Sarah and Todd Palin may move their family out for the summer, thanks to their new “creepy” neighbor, writer Joe McGinniss. So said Todd Palin in a telephone interview with me as he described the strange events unfolding around his family’s backyard.
McGinniss is renting the house next to the Palins, from which he can keep a close eye on the former governor’s comings and goings. Regardless of one’s political views, anyone with any remnant of respect for others’ privacy can sympathize with the Palins. As Todd put it: “This is a non-partisan issue.”
You’d think, right? But if the comments are any indication, some people who don’t like Sarah Palin don’t see it that way…
Since when is it illegal for a journalist to rent a house on the same street as the Palins?

Since when has anybody said it is?
All that being said, I would also have some sympathy for Palin if she didn’t drag her kids into the conversation yet again and imply that this journalist was some sort of pedophile.

It’s true, Willow doesn’t seem to be the Palin who McGinniss is obsessed with.
Oh please spare us, the poor Palins’ summer is ruined because of a neighbor? McCain unleashed a thin skinned pit bull on the entire country that won’t stop barking and our hearing is in peril!

Well, you could always do what you want the Palins to do: ignore the people who annoy you.
Lets see – who would i rather have for my next door neighbor? joe mcginniss or
the witch from wasilla?that’s a no-brainer if there ever was one.
me thinks she witches too much about nothing. but that’s what witches do – they witch.

Well said!
It’s almost comical, watching the various barren women and general malcontents who thrill at any opportunity to screech at the Palins. They condemned her for asking for bendy straws in her speaking contract rider. They think “Sarah Palin only needs a few notes written on her hand to deliver a full speech” is some sort of insult. They’re nuts.
