Actor and comedian Tracy Morgan is in critical condition after a six-car pileup on the New Jersey Turnpike, NBC10 is reporting.

The crash occurred at approximately 1 a.m. Saturday morning after Morgan’s stand up gig at Delaware Casino. Morgan was riding in a limo bus when it overturned near the Turnpike in Cranbury, N.J.

Based on preliminary investigation, police are saying a tractor trailer came up on slow moving traffic and caused the accident. The limo bus, two tractor trailers, an SUV and two other cars were all involved in the crash.

Morgan was rushed to Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital in New Brunswick, N.J. and is currently in intensive care.

Four others were injured, including James McNair, one of Morgan’s comedy writers, who was killed in the crash. The other three are listed in critical condition. All of the injured were in the limo bus.

Stand-up comedian Ardie Fuqua tweeted pictures of Morgan and himself around midnight on Friday. One of those pictures shows the interior of the limo bus. It is unsure whether Fuqua was on the limo bus.

The “30 Rock” actor was scheduled to perform at Dover Downs Casino in Dover, Del. on his “Turn It Funny” tour.
