Remember the “Boom Goes the Dynamite” Guy? Of course you do. He’s the one who gave everyone hope they might one day be able to fail at being a newscaster.
It’s Internet gold at this point. Almost a rite of passage for anyone who intends to log on. About five seconds after you get your connection, some cabal of Internet guardians comes and says, “The Internet is awesome, and boom goes the dynamite.”
Well, the folks over at MLB on TBS decided it was high time to remake this classic. Now normally I’m against remakes unless it involves Batman, but this is pretty great.
Nothing like Ron Darling, Cal Ripken, Jr., Gary Sheffield and Pedro Martinez hamming it up. A perfect way to go into the postseason.
By the way, I think Pedro Martinez could do anything and still be funny. Dude’s a riot. Even when he’s being violent. Seriously, Pedro could be a serial killer and find a way to make it humorous. Just like he did with Don Zimmer.
