National Republican Senatorial Committee spokesman Brad Dayspring is known for having something of a cantankerous relationship with reporters. Ironically, he’s even been known to bristle about it.
On Capitol Hill his occasionally prickly personality is somewhat legendary. In fact, in 2012, he resigned from then-House Maj. Leader Eric Cantor‘s (R-Va.) office after an altercation. His temper has prompted some aides to coin a nickname for him.
It’s Brad Dayscream.
“Sure didn’t,” he replied to The Mirror when asked if he’d heard about it. “Who said that?”
To be sure, Dayspring does know how to have a sense of humor about his temper.
I’m going to give up temper tantrums for Lent. It will be a test, for sure, but for Jesus I think I can do it..

Note to reporters: Probably best to not call him this to his face.
