Whitney Houston’s daughter was getting ready to go to rehab days before she was found unresponsive in her bathtub in January, her grandmother says.

Pat Houston said she didn’t know Bobbi Kristina Brown had been doing hard drugs, but she knew that her granddaughter needed help.

“I decided she was going to rehab because that’s where we had called to set up for her to go,” Houston told People Magazine during a recent interview. “She didn’t make it.” (RELATED: Medical Examiners Determine Cause Of Death For Bobbi Kristina)

“She found out that I was coming for her, not to do an intervention, because I didn’t want to go through that with her. I just wanted her to come back and talk to me so we could figure out how this was going to take place because she needed to go.”

Houston said she had talked to Bobbi Kristina a few days before. (RELATED: Shocking New Information Revealed About Bobbi Kristina Brown’s Drug Use)

“That was the last time I heard from her and that I believe was either on a Wednesday or Thursday.”

The 21-year-old was found face down and unresponsive in the bathtub of her Atlanta home that Saturday morning.

“I can’t even begin to tell you how I was feeling and what I was feeling and still feeling,” Houston said when she got the call about what happened. “I didn’t know, I didn’t know about the hard drugs, the cocaine. I didn’t know about the coke or the heroin but when I did find out, you know, I addressed it immediately. But, unfortunately, she never made it.” (RELATED: Why Nick Gordon Fears He’ll Be Charged With Murder Of Whitney’s Daughter)
