Dissident Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) officials created a digital “Forum of Hate” (FOH) using highly offensive email texts against an agency whose upper management they viewed as worried only about getting bonuses for themselves and whose workforce they considered degraded by excessive Affirmative Action hiring.

The high-level employees on the FOH included attorneys, administrative law judges (ALJs) and managers who sent dozens of inflammatory emails per day using their government email accounts, then complained about how they had to work late.

The previously unreported emails occurred in 2015, according to a draft report prepared by the inspector general (IG). A copy was obtained by The Daily Caller News Foundation Investigative Group, but the employees’ names were redacted.

Posters on the FOH compared Board of Veterans Affairs (BVA) compared “leadership sexual organs to a food product,” and said “ni–ers just gotta nig,” according to the same report. They called an obese black female VA supervisor “G-POT”— G is a prefix used by status-obsessed rappers, and POT because they said she looked like a hippopotamus.

A year after the forum members were caught — and VA took credit for disciplining them — two ALJs have yet to be disciplined because their cases remain unresolved by the Merit Systems Protection Board (MSPB), a VA official told TheDCNF. One of the attorneys involved with the FOH retired and another resigned.

“G-POT probably takes notes of who usually stays late before leaving at 3pm and then tips off some thug cousin that some prospective rape ‘n’ rob victims are to be had that evening,” wrote a poster.

“Want G-POT to work her whole tour? Staple gun some chicken wings to the walls of her office. Make them high up so she needs to work for them,” another responded.

They altered a picture of an employee receiving an award to say “certificate good for one big bag of weed and an eight ball of coke.”

When VA leadership rolled out an initiative called ICARE, a FOH forum member wrote: “I’m happy to take it, bc I don’t care and this reminds me to care… hollow training/waste of time.”

Another manager who participated in the FOH warned other posters occasionally, writing about a complaint about overtime. “Do you really want to try to document staying late on a day you sent about a thousand emails not related to work?”

A different manager told them to “build a wall” that separated work from personal email, but other members responded with 60 emails in the next two days mocking him for a “PC agenda with this non-VA email bulls–t.”

Some of them used the email list to rail against management despite their positions as managers, then claimed they didn’t know they were managers. “I guess I’m quasi supervisor I guess,” one told the IG when it demanded they explain the emails.

Some of their complaints were not entirely unfounded. In 2014, for example, BVA Senior Counsel Kelli Kordich told Congress she was “appalled and saddened by the unchecked mismanagement [and] corruption” and listed managers who she said took part in misconduct or had poor performance but “were not disciplined, but rather were rewarded by bonuses.”

BVA Vice Chairman Laura Eskenazi was transferred to a different job after she tried to steer a major contract to her husband’s company and lied about it to investigators.

“In August and September of 2016, the MSPB conducted hearings on the Department’s recommendations.  Those proceedings are still pending with the MSPB,” he said. He said the third attorney was suspended without pay, but did not say for how long.

Twenty-three percent of the VA’s workforce is black, nearly double the percentage of the general population. The American Federation of Government Employees (AFGE) claimed in 2016 that proposed legislation in Congress to make it easier to fire poorly performing federal employees amounted to racism, because so many VA employees are minorities. The AFGE president has made similar accusations against President Donald Trump’s hiring freeze for the federal workforce.

One of the posters joked in one message: “Can’t wait for these FOH emails to be published.”

Readers,

Instead of sucking up to the political and corporate powers that dominate America, The Daily Caller is fighting for you — our readers. We humbly ask you to consider joining us in this fight.

Now that millions of readers are rejecting the increasingly biased and even corrupt corporate media and joining us daily, there are powerful forces lined up to stop us: the old guard of the news media hopes to marginalize us; the big corporate ad agencies want to deprive us of revenue and put us out of business; senators threaten to have our reporters arrested for asking simple questions; the big tech platforms want to limit our ability to communicate with you; and the political party establishments feel threatened by our independence.

We don't complain -- we can't stand complainers -- but we do call it how we see it. We have a fight on our hands, and it's intense. We need your help to smash through the big tech, big media and big government blockade.

We're the insurgent outsiders for a reason: our deep-dive investigations hold the powerful to account. Our original videos undermine their narratives on a daily basis. Even our insistence on having fun infuriates them -- because we won’t bend the knee to political correctness.

One reason we stand apart is because we are not afraid to say we love America. We love her with every fiber of our being, and we think she's worth saving from today’s craziness.

Help us save her.

A second reason we stand out is the sheer number of honest responsible reporters we have helped train. We have trained so many solid reporters that they now hold prominent positions at publications across the political spectrum. Hear a rare reasonable voice at a place like CNN? There’s a good chance they were trained at Daily Caller. Same goes for the numerous Daily Caller alumni dominating the news coverage at outlets such as Fox News, Newsmax, Daily Wire and many others.

Simply put, America needs solid reporters fighting to tell the truth or we will never have honest elections or a fair system. We are working tirelessly to make that happen and we are making a difference.

Since 2010, The Daily Caller has grown immensely. We're in the halls of Congress. We're in the Oval Office. And we're in up to 20 million homes every single month. That's 20 million Americans like you who are impossible to ignore.

We can overcome the forces lined up against all of us. This is an important mission but we can’t do it unless you — the everyday Americans forgotten by the establishment — have our back.

Please consider becoming a Daily Caller Patriot today, and help us keep doing work that holds politicians, corporations and other leaders accountable. Help us thumb our noses at political correctness. Help us train a new generation of news reporters who will actually tell the truth. And help us remind Americans everywhere that there are millions of us who remain clear-eyed about our country's greatness.

In return for membership, Daily Caller Patriots will be able to read The Daily Caller without any of the ads that we have long used to support our mission. We know the ads drive you crazy. They drive us crazy too. But we need revenue to keep the fight going. If you join us, we will cut out the ads for you and put every Lincoln-headed cent we earn into amplifying our voice, training even more solid reporters, and giving you the ad-free experience and lightning fast website you deserve.

Patriots will also be eligible for Patriots Only content, newsletters, chats and live events with our reporters and editors. It's simple: welcome us into your lives, and we'll welcome you into ours.

We can save America together.

Become a Daily Caller Patriot today.
