Things got heated on “The View” Friday while the co-hosts were discussing testimony given by former FBI director James Comey as part of the investigation into Russia’s alleged involvement in the 2016 election.
Joy Behar asked Jedediah Bila if she thought Comey was a “rat or whistleblower” regarding his statement at the hearing about keeping notes from his meetings with President Donald Trump and leaking them to the press. (RELATED: Bill Maher Skewers Hillary Clinton For Returning To The Spotlight)

“I think that’s awful actually,” Bila explained. “Because he’s basically telling you as head of the FBI that he had an agenda. So you [Comey] went through all this and then you decided that you wanted a special counsel. So you were going to decide that you were going to send off these memos off to your friend and you were going to have them leaked.” (RELATED: Fight Breaks Out On ‘The View’ Over Why Hillary Lost)
“So if he was leaking information about Hillary Clinton would everyone at the table…would everyone thought that was a great idea,” she added. “I would have been sitting here saying that’s not right.”
“Yes,” Behar interjected.
“James Comey makes me mad,” Bila responded. “He’s making me mad, because you know what you [Comey] sat there all of those months. If you had such a problem with what Trump was doing and you thought there was an obstruction of justice. If you thought Trump was saying things to you that were inappropriate. You thought he was obstructing potentially this investigation into Michael Flynn…why did you keep your mouth shut all these months?”
“I think James Comey is a patriot,” Sunny Hostin interjected. “I think he’s a patriot.”
Paula Farris reminded the panel that many Democrats wanted to see Comey fired, including Valerie Jarrett, who she said urged Barack Obama to fire him.
“He should have resigned,” Bila snapped back.”I have a real problem with him.”
“Is it hard for Republicans to hold two thoughts at once,” Behar responded, defending her stance to be both mad at Comey over Hillary Clinton and for being fired by Trump.
“Yeah, I do it all the time,” Bila explained. “The big issue, there’s nothing here that implies..people need to know there’s no implication of collusion with Russia. There’s no implication at this point that Donald Trump tried to shut this investigation down.”
“Of course there is,” Hostin exclaimed. “Are you kidding me!”
“Oh here we go again,” Behar jumped in. “Let’s not do this conversation right now.”
