Catherine Frazier, a senior communications adviser to Sen. Ted Cruz, cracked an egg on Brian Stelter’s claim that Cruz, Sen. Marco Rubio and Florida Gov. Rick Scott refused to appear on CNN about the Parkland high school shooting Wednesday night.
Stelter — host of “Reliable Sources” and CNN’s chief media analyst — accused the trio of dodging with a Thursday morning tweet.

Frazier responded with fire and fury, namely pointing to the fact that Cruz did in fact interact with CNN’s camera crews.
Five times.
Hey @CNN, Ted talked to about 5 cameras in the Senate halls yesterday at length on immigration, maybe check with your Hill producers and stop making stupid, pointless accusations. https://t.co/MIRqlEjzK8

She also knocked CNN for giving Cruz’s office very limited heads up before inviting them to come on Thursday morning.
I’ll also note we weren't even invited on New Day until 8:11am, 39 minutes before the show ends. What a nice heads up before being gratuitously criticized on air.

Frazier did not initially respond to The Daily Caller’s request to expand on Cruz’s interviews, but Cruz himself entered the fray with a follow up tweet.
Gosh, I seem to recall doing not 1, not 2, but THREE town hall debates w/ @BernieSanders on @CNN Each 90 min long. You can accuse me of many things, but being afraid of CNN is not one of them…. https://t.co/we6HBY0oQ9
