Things got pretty heated on “The View” Monday between co-host Meghan McCain and Joy Behar, with McCain asking multiple times if she had permission to speak.

It happened during a panel discussion on the ABC talk show about President Donald Trump’s tweet regarding Democratic Minnesota Sen. Amy Klobuchar’s announcement over the weekend of her bid to run for president. (RELATED: Meghan McCain Blasts Trump At John McCain’s Funeral)

“Well, it happened again. Amy Klobuchar announced that she is running for President, talking proudly of fighting global warming while standing in a virtual blizzard of snow, ice and freezing temperatures. Bad timing. By the end of her speech she looked like a Snowman(woman),” Trump tweeted.

Behar started to talk about it as video behind her played with a shot of Klobuchar standing in what looked like was quite a blizzard.

“This is real,” McCain, who rarely is shy about her thoughts, explained. (RELATED: Joy Behar: Female Trump Voters Don’t Know The Difference Between A Predator And A Protector)

“Can I get through this, please?” Behar snapped back.

“You know what?” McCain responded. “It’s so stupid. This whole thing is so stupid.”

Abby Huntsman and Sunny Hostin continued the discussion, noting how Klobuchar hit back at Trump and Hostin suggested the president might have “meet his match.”

“Can I say something now?” the former Fox News contributor interjected. “Is that okay, Joy? Do I have permission? I have permission to speak now on Amy Klobuchar? We’re all good?”

“Okay, two quick things. Number one, I have friends who were at her announcement,” she added, before getting upset about something that happened off-camera and replying, “Nope, by all means, keep going, Joy.”

“No, if you’re going to have a hissy fit, we can’t continue,” Behar responded. Judging by her co-host’s body language, McCain did not look pleased about the comment.

It was only the latest example of the two hosts battling it out on the show. Most recently, the ladies made headlines after McCain blasted her co-host for attempting to use former President George H. W. Bush’s death to bash Trump.
