More details have emerged from rape investigation surrounding Kristaps Porzingis, and they’re not good.
A bombshell report from Saturday revealed that the Dallas Mavericks center was under an investigation for an alleged rape in 2018 when he was on the New York Knicks. The alleged attack took place on the same night that the Porzingis suffered an ACL tear. Now, we have some more details on the alleged attack. TMZ reported the following update on the investigation:
Law enforcement sources tell TMZ … the alleged victim told cops Porzingis pinned her down on a bed in his guest room, penetrated her vagina with his penis and then got violent.
The woman told cops he hit her in the face several times, spit on her, called her “my bitch” and “my slave” and said he owned her. We’re told the accuser claims he stopped assaulting her as she was putting up a fight.
This is such an ugly situation all the way around. Porzingis is denying any wrongdoing of any kind, the player’s union has supported him, the Mavericks were also aware of the claims and still decided to trade for him, and the FBI might be involved.
That would make you think the people close to the talented young star really aren’t overly concerned.
On the February trade call to finalize the Dallas-New York deal, the Knicks informed the Mavericks of the pending rape allegation against Kristaps Porzingis, league sources tell ESPN. The league office had been previously made aware of the allegations.

Having said that, the last thing the Mavericks or the NBA wants out there are reports of a player allegedly raping a woman and calling her a “slave.”
Literally, that’s the last thing the NBA wants to deal with, and I can promise you that this story won’t be leaving the news cycle anytime soon.
