“Game of Thrones” character Arya Stark is the furthest thing possible from a Mary Sue.
The term has been seemingly trending on Twitter ever since she slew the Night King, and it’s one of the stupidest things I’ve ever seen. It’s also generating a ton of articles around the web, and now, I have to weigh in.

It’s literally the worst word imaginable to define Arya. Yes, the youngest Stark girl killed the Night King, but we know she’s been through a ton.

Did you read the part in the sentence above about how she trained to be an assassin?
What is it about training to be a killer and then doing such things that makes her a Mary Sue? What is about her dad’s death and life on the run that makes her a Mary Sue? What is it about her ups and downs that make her a Mary Sue?
Naturally, none of you who feel that way can answer the question because it’s ridiculous. I really hope this is all trolling because I don’t want to believe people are actually dumb enough to believe Arya doesn’t have a proven track record and journey to prove and verify her badass credentials.
Sometimes I just really wonder if I’m the smartest person on the planet. It feels like most people are out here just running around clueless.
Shame on all the idiots out there. Life must be hard to be so stupid to believe Arya is Mary Sue.
