A Toronto Raptors fan has gone viral on Twitter, and the reason why is awesome.
Twitter user @CaptMaverick85 posted a video of a Kawhi Leonard jersey being hung from a stairwell, and the post has been viewed nearly 1.2 million times! (RELATED: Los Angeles Clippers Sign Kawhi Leonard)
Even though it’s not an actual jersey retirement, it still pulled my heartstrings.
So I decided to retire Kawhi Leonard’s jersey into the rafters of my house. #ThankYouKawhi @timandsid @WorldWideWob #WeTheNorth pic.twitter.com/ELFpHix3iO

It’s amazing how chill Raptors fans have been about Kawhi leaving. They still absolutely love the guy. Most fanbases will torch a player the moment he leaves.
Not the nice people in Canada. They’re still treating Kawhi like a walking and talking God, despite the fact he left for the Clippers.
Again, how many fans would do the same? I went to Bryce Harper’s return to Washington D.C., and it was brutal.
I guess things change quickly once you bring a town its first title.

I have a feeling the moment Kawhi returns to Toronto, he will be greeted like an absolute king, which is exactly how he should be embraced.
Well done, random Raptors fan. That was a fun way to honor the NBA superstar.
