Ewan McGregor will officially return as Obi-Wan Kenobi.

It was announced late Friday night on the “Star Wars” Twitter page that he’ll reprise his iconic role as the Jedi master for a new series on Disney+. (RELATED: Watch The Trailer For The ‘Star Wars’ Series ‘The Mandalorian’ On Disney+)

My friends, let’s go! Grab the champagne, pop a bottle and get ready to celebrate. As I’ve said before, McGregor was one of the few bright spots in the prequels. They were pretty trash outside of him.

Now, he’s coming back for an entire series about Obi-Wan Kenobi. If that doesn’t have you juiced, then I don’t know what possibly could.

We’re talking about Obi-Wan! We’re talking about one of the GOATs in the Jedi game.

While I do think too much “Star Wars” content as been produced lately, there’s no doubt at all that I’m down with this series.

McGregor is one of my favorite actors, he did an awesome job in the prequels and I just love the storyline of Obi-Wan.

There’s no release date or a ton of other details out right now about this series, but keep checking back for more information when we have it.

What I do know for sure is that I’m excited for this to begin.
