Texas A&M player Jared Hocker has guaranteed a victory over the Clemson Tigers this weekend.
In a video posted by Brent Zwerneman on Monday, the offensive lineman told the media “there will be an upset” when the 12th-ranked Aggies take the field against Dabo Swinney, Trevor Lawrence and the Tigers on Saturday. I love the fact the Aggies are bringing this kind of energy. They’re currently 17.5 point underdogs. They’re playing with house money at this point.
They might as well swing for the fences at every opportunity against the Tigers. Nobody, and I mean nobody, outside of the fans of the Aggies expects them to win.
Could it be close? Sure. They played Clemson damn close last year, but now it’s 100% the Trevor Lawrence show.
Kellen Mond would have to play the game of his life for the Aggies to pull off the upset. Will it happen? Not likely, but there’s a reason you play the game.

As somebody who has no dog in this fight at all, I’d love to see the Aggies make a game out of it. It’d be awesome to watch Jimbo Fisher go on the road and play the Tigers close.
Nobody wants to see a blowout. That’s not what people want to see at all. We want to be on the edge of our seats.
Let’s hope Hocker and company can follow through on his guarantee. The Aggies pulling off the upset would set the world of college football on fire.
