Ohio State head coach Ryan Day believes Chase Young will be on the field Saturday against Rutgers.

Young is currently not playing over a loan he got from a family friend to send his girlfriend to the Rose Bowl. He already missed the Maryland game, and it’s not crystal clear when he’ll return.

However, the Buckeyes are anticipating it could be as early as this weekend. According to Joey Kaufman, Day told the media Tuesday he is “going to prepare” for Young to play against the Scarlet Knights.

I might hate Ohio State, but I do hope Young gets back on the field sooner than later. Getting suspended over a $500 loan to fly your girlfriend to a game is absurd.

I don’t care if violates the letter or spirit of the law. I couldn’t care less. The fact Young already missed one game is incredibly stupid. (RELATED: David Hookstead Is The True King In The North When It Comes To College Football)

He should be back with the team this weekend, and then we shouldn’t have to hear about this ever again.

If the NCAA actually drops the hammer on Young, it’ll unite college football fans everywhere. It won’t matter if you hate the Buckeyes or not.

You simply can’t sit idly by as the NCAA tries to ruin a man’s career for no reason at all.

I might hate the Buckeyes more than all of you combined, but I’m pulling for Young. His suspension is bad for the sport, and I hope he’s able to terrorize the Scarlet Knights on Saturday.
