Not a bad deal at all for Norvell. You know you’re doing well in life whenever you go from coaching at Memphis to making $28 million to coach in the ACC.
According to the latest data from the USA Today coaching database, this salary puts Norvell at about 30th in America for yearly cash.

That’s not too bad for a guy getting his first Power Five head coaching gig. Clearly, the Seminoles think they have their guy and are willing to pay big money.
We’ll see how Norvell does in Tallahassee, but I hope he does well. College football is simply better off when FSU is good.
That’s just a fact, and they’ve been trash these past few years. Now, the former Memphis head coach will be tasked with bringing them back to the top.

Can he do it? We’ll have to wait to find out, but there’s no doubt he knows his football.
