Jacksonville Jaguars coach Doug Marrone just wants to drink some beer after a bad season.

According to Mark Long, Marrone said after the season ended with a win over the Colts that he “might have a little bit more than one beer.” (RELATED: David Hookstead Is The True King In The North When It Comes To College Football)

His comment comes as his job security hangs in the balance after going 6-10 with the Jaguars.

This is just a classic football guy move. Whatever happens now is out of Marrone’s control. He’s either going to get fired or he’s not.

There’s nothing he can do about it at this point in time. He’s now in a waiting game.

With that being the case, he might as well open the fridge and grab a few cold beers. The NFL season is an exhausting time for coaches.

It’s even worse when you don’t meet expectations, and find yourself on the outside looking in when the postseason rolls around.

With his fate up in the air, drinking a few beers might be the best option on the table.

I appreciate his honesty. Most coaches probably wouldn’t talk about hammering cold brews following a bad season, but what does Marrone have to lose?

Crack open a few beers, kick back, and let everybody else figure out what’s going to happen!
