NFL attendance is declining, but that doesn’t mean the league should be worried.

According to a report from Sports Business Daily, the average attendance at an NFL game during the 2019 regular season was 66,648. (RELATED: David Hookstead Is The True King In The North When It Comes To College Football)

That’s the lowest point since 2004.

This shouldn’t worry the league at all. On the surface, some people will try to argue stupid things like attendance is falling because of politics or something else that’s really dumb.

Do you know why attendance is an issue with the NFL and college football? It’s shockingly simple.

Attendance is down because the home-viewing experience is simply unbeatable at this point. It’s hard to convince people to spend a ton of money to go to a game when they can get a great experience at home.

They can watch multiple games at once, they (usually) have all the food they could want, the beer is much cheaper and there’s no travel involved.

We’ve seen the same stuff in college football. This isn’t strictly an issue the NFL is facing, and it’s not really an issue at all.

The TV ratings in 2019 were gigantic for the league. That’s a sign it’s as powerful as its ever been. As long as people are watching one way or another, the NFL will be happy.

The TV ratings were booming this year, and the league is in great shape. Anybody who tries to argue otherwise simply doesn’t know what they’re talking about.
