This is a very nice gesture from the NBA. Kobe was one of the greatest players to ever pick up a basketball, and he became a global icon.
I know a lot of people thought the logo should be changed. I never believed that was going to happen, but we all knew something big would be done.

Changing the all-star game MVP award to honor Kobe is a simple gesture and it’s still incredibly large at the same time.
He 100% deserves the honor, and now his name will be tied to the game going forward.
Props to the NBA for pulling this move. It’s a great one for the fallen basketball legend.
