The latest episode of “The Outsider” didn’t disappoint Sunday night on HBO.

Going into episode seven, I think we all assumed things would only get crazier. That’s not exactly what happened in “In the Pines, In the Pines.” (REVIEW: HBO‘s New Series ‘The Outsider‘ Is Incredible)

Jack had Holly and was taking her to the farm where Terry’s clothes were found as we closed out episode six.
A large chunk of episode seven focused on their drive. Luckily, Holly was able to escape after tricking Jack into thinking she had to use the bathroom.

Terry’s wife is also struggling and has decided to sue the people responsible for her husband’s death. Those were two major plot points, but they weren’t the biggest.
The biggest part of “In the Pines, In the Pines” was the fact that pretty much everybody but Ralph is all in on the boogeyman theory.
In fact, near the closing moments when Ralph is discussing strip club owner Claude interacting with the possessed Terry, his own wife tells him to get the hell out of the way if he isn’t going to help.
Ralph has tried to attack this problem from the traditional standpoint, and he’s resisted at every turn from buying into the hype that the boogeyman is responsible for the situation.

Well, he’s opened enough doors at this point to know something is clearly off. Now, the question is whether or not Ralph is all in?
It would certainly seem to be trending that way.

Finally, we need to find out if Claude is infected and if he can be stopped. Holly made it crystal clear the only way to stop the boogeyman is to isolate those he’s touched and cut off the head of the snake.
It now looks like Claude is next on that list along with Jack.
