The Clemson Tigers are currently favored to win the college football national championship.

According to CollegeFootballTalk, the Tigers are out front with odds of 1/2. They’re followed by Ohio State at 2/3, Alabama at 4/5, Oklahoma at 5/4 and Georgia at 3/2. (RELATED: David Hookstead Is The True King In The North When It Comes To College Football)

As I’ve said many times before, as long as Trevor Lawrence is under center and Dabo Swinney is calling the shots, then the Tigers are going to be very tough to beat.

Lawrence is arguably the best quarterback prospect I’ve seen in my life. I’ve been sold on him as a huge talent ever since he torched Alabama in the national title game.

With him slinging the rock, Clemson will always be a team to fear.

I also like Ohio State in the second spot. Similar to Clemson’s situation, Justin Fields is a hell of a quarterback.

He’s a freak-of-nature athlete with a great arm. College defenses simply aren’t equipped to deal with a skill set like his.

As for my Badgers, we’re at +1000 right now. That’s okay, but far from great. Oddsmakers are pretty much saying they see us, recognize we have some talent but don’t think we have a serious chance of winning the whole damn thing.

That’s okay. Count us out. Trust me, we’ll be the ones laughing when it’s all said and done.
