Coronavirus could reportedly result in the NFL season being delayed or shortened.

According to a Sunday report from Bleacher Report, there is “increasing pessimism” that the season won’t start as scheduled. (RELATED: David Hookstead Is The True King In The North When It Comes To College Football)

On top of that, there is a belief that the season could even be shortened to 14 games as fears about the virus grow.

Once again, it’s just more bad news after more bad news. The tidal wave of bad news related to coronavirus just never seems to end.

We lost March Madness, all sports have been put on hold and the college season seems to be hanging by a thread.

Now, we’re learning that the NFL season might also get delayed or shortened because of the virus. I’m honestly not sure how much worse this situation can get.

As I’ve said many times at this point, we’re in big trouble if we lose football. We’re in big trouble, folks.

People are willing to play ball and stay indoors to a point. We’re willing to do it as long as we can see a light at the end of the tunnel. That light is the football season.

You take that away and people are going to lose it. If we have to shorten the season, then so be it. Cancel the season?

That’s going to be a hard pass from me. No chance in hell will I tolerate that.
