The Florida Gators will play Florida A&M in a 2025 football game.

According to FBSSchedules.com, the Gators are paying the Rattlers $500,000 for the October 11, 2025 matchup. (RELATED: David Hookstead Is The True King In The North When It Comes To College Football)

The Rattlers are an FCS team, which means this is little more than a glorified practice.

This is the stuff that just blows my mind. I’m ultra-critical of the SEC and the cream puffs they play in the non-conference slate.

People don’t really like how much I rip the SEC for the conference’s scheduling decisions. They think I’m a homer and such.

That’s fine. I don’t care one bit what the SEC fanboys have to say. However, it’s literally impossible to defend this move by Florida.

You can’t pretend like the SEC is out here playing the toughest games possible when one of the premier teams in the conference is scheduling an FCS opponent.

You just can’t do it! It’s fine to say the SEC has a tough conference schedule, but moves like this prove the league is a joke when it comes to playing non-conference games. Please, I’m begging an SEC fanboy to get in the comments and defend this move!
