Will the New England Patriots try to draft former Alabama quarterback Tua Tagovailoa?

This seems to be becoming an increasingly popular question heading into the NFL draft, which is set to take place April 23, and Bleacher Report stirred the pot a bit with a lengthy look at the situation. (RELATED: David Hookstead Is The True King In The North When It Comes To College Football)

It really seems to boil down to the fact the Miami Dolphins might opt for former Oregon quarterback Justin Herbert at the fifth pick, which means Tua could start falling down the board.

If that happens, then the Patriots could trade up to grab the dual-threat quarterback without having to give up too much. Right now, the Patriots need help at quarterback after Tom Brady left, and it’s looking like Tua might be a very real possibility.

If the Patriots can get Tua without risking all their future picks, then they should 100% try to do it. If there’s a realistic scenario where the Pats can get the former Alabama star, then Belichick has to do it.

Tua is the perfect kind of quarterback for Belichick. He’s incredibly intelligent and a hard worker, great leader, and proven winner.

He’s the exact kind of guy you want in your locker room.

At the moment, it looks like Jarrett Stidham is the most likely starting quarterback for the Patriots. If you can replace him with Tua, then you do it in a heartbeat.

Stidham might have a long career hanging around NFL rosters, but Tua has the potential to be a superstar.

It’ll be interesting to see how it all shakes out, but Tua going to the Pats would be absolutely electric.
