Ohio State football coach Ryan Day thinks all options have to be on the table for the upcoming college season.

Right now, nobody has any idea what will happen with the college football season. Nobody has a clue amid the ongoing coronavirus crisis. Will fans be let in? Will games start on time? It’s unclear, but Day wants all options to be considered. (RELATED: David Hookstead Is The True King In The North When It Comes To College Football)

“I think we need to look at everything because I think any football is better than no football,” Day responded when asked by ESPN’s Mike Greenberg about games potentially happening without fans in attendance.

The star coach also said it’ll take about six weeks when asked how much time teams will need to prepare. That means if we’re not underway by the middle of July, then teams are in trouble.

You can watch and listen to his full comments below.

So, we have to have the wheels spinning by the middle of July from the picture Day has painted. Will that happen?

That’s still a really long ways off. It’s not exactly around the corner, and a whole lot of things could change with coronavirus by the time July gets here.

Let’s hope we have the virus under control by then, and we have our football programs getting back to work. If not, then we’ll have some huge problems to deal with.

As for fans not being let in, I couldn’t agree more with Day when he says it’s better to have something than nothing at all.

Will I be happy about fans not being let in? No, I won’t be happy at all. The games need fans, but I’d rather have empty stadiums and the season underway than football straight up canceled.

If the games can’t have fans, then that’s just something we’ll have to learn to adapt to. It’ll be very weird, but we’ll still have the games on TV. All things considered, it’s a hell of a lot better than nothing.
