The NFL says it’s pure coincidence the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and New England Patriots don’t play at the same time until week 15.

That’s right, folks. Tom Brady won’t play at the same time as his former team for the first 14 weeks of the season. (RELATED: David Hookstead Is The True King In The North When It Comes To College Football)

The NFL told ESPN about the schedule, “Putting together the 256-game schedule is very complex — it’s a riddle, wrapped in a mystery, inside an enigma. The minimal conflicts here are coincidental.”

Below is a live look at my reaction to that explanation.

Yeah, I’m sure it’s a pure coincidence that fans of the Patriots won’t have to choose between Brady and New England until week 15. Yeah, I absolutely believe that.

The Buccaneers have become the biggest story in the NFL. Let’s just be honest about it. Fans of the Patriots are still going to watch Brady.

That’s a fact, and the league would have been foolish to force them to choose between the two if they don’t have to.

The idea it’s just a coincidence isn’t an explanation I’m buying at all.

Despite the fact that the NFL might not want to take credit for this decision, it was 100% the correct call. Let’s just be open about it!
