A viral tweet might have the states of Michigan and Wisconsin on the brink of war.

Twitter user @ihatethiskid sent a tweet stating, “The fact that Wisconsin hasn’t taken over the upper peninsula from Michigan tells me everything I need to know about those cowards.” (RELATED: David Hookstead Is The True King In The North When It Comes To College Football)

So far, it’s been retweeted more than 40,000 times and favorited more than 347,000 times! Give it a look below.

I don’t know who this clown is, but let me be perfectly clear as a kid from Wisconsin. If we wanted the U.P., we could invade it in a day.

The conquering would be over before nightfall on the first day of combat operations. Why would it be so easy?

The people of the U.P. want to be part of Wisconsin. They wouldn’t even resist. They’d willingly lay down their weapons and join the winning team.

Why haven’t we done this? Because we don’t want to. The northern part of Wisconsin is gorgeous, we’re a winning state and we want nothing that has anything to do with Michigan.

In Wisconsin, we win our division in football. In Michigan, you’re the punchline to a bad joke at the end of every season.

Why would we want any part of the mojo? The answer is: we don’t. Now, I’m not hammering the people of the U.P.

I like them. We share a lot of cultural similarities, and they’re certainly better than the average person from the main part of Michigan. It’s not their fault the rest of the state is dragging them down.

While it might sound like we’re at the brink of war, we’re not. If I wanted the U.P., I’d have it by supper.
