Ohio State’s Gene Smith and Wisconsin’s Barry Alvarez have been ranked as the two best athletic directors in the Big 10.

Stadium published its grades for ADs in the conference and Alvarez and Smith were the only men to get an A. (RELATED: David Hookstead Is The True King In The North When It Comes To College Football)

Minnesota AD Mark Coyle received an A-, and then there was a substantial drop.

Yeah, it’s pretty hard to disagree with these rankings. Under Smith, Ohio State’s football team has been absolutely dominating.

They’ve just pulverized everyone they’ve come up against. Now, they’d probably do that no matter what, but you have to give Smith credit for the role he’s played.

As for Alvarez, no athletic director in America has done more with less. He’s turned Wisconsin into an athletic powerhouse.

The Badgers have become national powers in football and basketball over the past two decades, and we’re going to remain that way for a long time.

I’ll even give Minnesota some props here. Despite the fact I enjoy dogging them and ripping the Gophers on a regular basis, the football team is turning into a competitive squad.

I mean, hell, they beat Wisconsin for the first time in years in 2018.

All the way around, I think it’s safe to say the rankings were pretty accurate.
