Georgia Bulldogs quarterback JT Daniels has been ruled immediately eligible.
While it’s not clear how Daniels was able to get immediate eligibility, the Bulldogs passer announced the news Monday, and said he wouldn’t “comment” further “on the waiver or transfer.” (RELATED: David Hookstead Is The True King In The North When It Comes To College Football)
Thank you to the NCAA for granting me immediate eligibility and allowing me to play football this fall. I will not comment on the waiver or transfer, but look forward to a great 2020 season with my teammates.

I gave up pretending I have any understanding of who gets immediate eligibility, and who doesn’t a long time ago.
It seems like the NCAA just kind of rolls with, and we go from there. If you’re a big name at a huge program, then your odds of playing right away seem pretty damn high.

Here’s what I know for sure. Georgia’s QB room is absolutely stacked right now. Jamie Newman was already in Athens after transferring in for Kirby Smart’s squad.
Now, another elite QB is in the room and ready to roll. The QB battle between Newman and Daniels should be absolutely awesome.

No matter what happens, Georgia fans are going to have a lot to cheer about during the 2020 season with either option.
