Most people don’t expect the college football season to happen.

Games are slated to start in a few weeks, but everything is up in the air as we continue to battle the coronavirus pandemic. (RELATED: David Hookstead Is The True King In The North When It Comes To College Football)

I asked people on Twitter if they thought the season would happen. Of the 2,635 voters, only 32.3% voted that the season would occur. The other 67.7% voted that the season is cooked.

If I ran this poll three months ago, I have no doubt at all that the results would have been flipped. Hell, 80% of people might have voted that the season would happen during the coronavirus pandemic.

We had so much hope and optimism when the summer started. Now, it’s August, and nobody seems to think the season will happen.

If I had to guess, I think there’s a 100% chance the season starts. We’ve come too far to not at least try to play college football.

The question then becomes whether or not the season will end, which is a very different conversation. If entire teams start getting knocked out, the situation could spiral out of control real fast.

Hopefully, we keep doing what needs to be done in order to defeat coronavirus. We need football in the fall, and we need to do whatever is necessary to make sure it happens.
