Oddsmakers believe a Power Five conference will postpone the football season by Saturday.

According to oddsmaker Danny Sheridan, offshore books have a postponement announcement from a P5 conference by Aug. 15 at -1000. (RELATED: David Hookstead Is The True King In The North When It Comes To College Football)

As much as it pains me to say it, you should 100% bet on a P5 conference postponing the season during the coronavirus pandemic. At this point, I’m not sure it’s even avoidable.

There was chatter Sunday night night that announcement from the Big 10 could come at any moment.

Now, it’s expected that at least one conference — most likely the Big 10 — will announce this week that the football season is postponed.

I’d be shocked at this point if a P5 conference didn’t announce a delay at a minimum at some point this week. It could literally come at any moment.

We’re at the brink, and that’s putting it lightly. Unfortunately, I think the oddsmakers are going to turn out to be correct, and that’s nothing short of being depressing as all hell.
