Los Angeles Lakers star LeBron James is now making NBA practices political.

SportsCenter tweeted a photo of the three-time champion during a Monday practice, and he was wearing a “Vote or Die” shirt. (RELATED: David Hookstead Is The True King In The North When It Comes To College Football)

You can see a photo of the shirt below.

So, this is where we’re at now in the NBA and America. LeBron James, who is the most famous athlete on the planet, is pushing a message that you’ll die if you don’t vote.

That seems very rational, well thought-out and makes a ton of sense, right? Wrong.

The NBA has ramped up the politics ever since the shooting of Jacob Blake, who admitted to being armed, in Kenosha, Wisconsin, by a police officer.

Playoff games were postponed, players spoke out about their view of injustices and LeBron is now suggesting you’ll die if you don’t vote against Trump.

No matter what you think about Trump or Biden, and who King James supports, we’re not going to die based on who becomes the next president.

Basketball players are paid to be damn good at winning NBA games. They’re not paid to promote absurd messages based on fear. LeBron James should stick to what he knows because he’s clearly way over his skis on politics.

Also, anyone find it interesting why King James was very talkative after the Blake shooting, but hasn’t said much since the sexual assault allegation against the man went public? I wonder what changed.
