Tampa Bay Buccaneers running back Leonard Fournette dropped an absurd quote Tuesday.

Fournette was recently cut from the Jaguars, and he quickly signed with Tom Brady and the Bucs. The star running back apparently thinks Brady is the first real quarterback he’s played with. (RELATED: David Hookstead Is The True King In The North When It Comes To College Football)

According to Greg Auman, Fournette said, “For the first time in my life, I really have a quarterback.”

My friends, those are fighting words. Who the hell does Fournette think he’s talking about? We all appreciate Brady, but who played quarterback for the Jaguars last season?

It was Gardner Minshew. Not only is Gardner Minshew a great quarterback, but he’s an electric factor.

Minshew is the kind of guy you want in your foxhole when bullets start flying and he’s absolutely the kind of guy you want running your offense.

If Fournette doesn’t see that, then he has no idea what he’s talking about. Not only did the Jaguars have a quarterback last season, but Minshew gutted his way to leading the team to multiple wins.

The only reason the Jaguars won six games with Minshew on the field was because the young passer just refused to quit.

Shame on Fournette for not recognizing the skills of Minshew. That’s the kind of smack talk I just won’t tolerate.
