Five Days Out — Here’s Where The Election Stands

Americans Watch Final Presidential Debate Between Donald Trump And Joe Biden

With five days until Election Day, both President Donald Trump and Democratic nominee Joe Biden will campaign in Florida in an effort to win the battleground state’s 29 electoral votes.

Biden leads Trump by 8.9 points nationally, and by two points in the Sunshine State, according to FiveThirtyEight. In Wisconsin, Michigan and Pennsylvania, the three Rust Belt states sealed Trump’s 2016 win, Biden leads by 8.5, 8.1 and 5.2 points.

The former vice president is also ahead of Trump in Arizona, North Carolina and Georgia, where he leads by 3.5, 2.1 and 1.5 points, respectively.

After campaigning across Georgia on Tuesday alongside the state’s two Democratic senatorial candidates, Biden remained in his home state of Delaware Wednesday. Trump held two rallies in Arizona Wednesday before departing to Florida.

Both Biden and Trump will campaign in Tampa, but the two are not expected to overlap. Trump will hold a rally in Fayetteville, North Carolina Thursday afternoon.

Trump will hold a rally in Waterford Township, Michigan Friday, while Biden is set to campaign in Iowa and Wisconsin, before heading to the Great Lakes State Saturday with President Barack Obama. Though Trump won Iowa by nine points in 2016, Biden holds a slim 1.6 point lead in the state, according to FiveThirtyEight. (RELATED: Biden Holds Widening Lead Over Trump In The Rust Belt)

In the campaign’s final weeks, Biden has campaigned almost exclusively in states that Trump won four years ago, reflecting his camp’s effort to create multiple paths to 270 electoral votes and the massive amount of cash the campaign has.

Five days from Nov. 3, The Economist’s forecast gives Trump just a 4% chance at winning reelection, while FiveThirtyEight’s forecast gives the president an 11% chance.

Both forecasts have Democrats favored to flip the Senate and expand their majority in the House.

Though Biden is favored, more people have bet on Trump to win reelection, according to OddsChecker.
