The superstar dual-threat quarterback went down in the bowl game against Oklahoma State with a non-contact knee injury, and it was immediately clear that it was a serious situation. According to Brett McMurphy, King has suffered a torn ACL, but there’s a solid chance that he’ll be ready for camp ahead of the 2021 season.

Miami tweeted a message supporting King Thursday morning, but didn’t provide any specifics about his injury.

As I said when I first saw King hit the dirt, my first guess was that his ACL gave out on him. Whenever I see a non-contact knee injury, the ACL always jumps to the top of my mind.
Well, that’s the situation here for King, and it’s really unfortunate because he’s such a great player.
