Actor Elliot Page reportedly filed for divorce from wife Emma Portner months after coming out as transgender.

Page filed for divorce in Manhattan Supreme Court on Tuesday, according to court documents obtained by Entertainment Tonight. Neither Page or Portner have commented publicly on the divorce filing.

Page and Portner revealed that they had secretly married back in January of 2018. The couple shared a series of photos on Instagram at the time. (RELATED: Elliot Page Shares First Photo Since Coming Out As Transgender)

“Can’t believe I get to call this extraordinary woman my wife,” Page captioned the photos at the time.

Page came out as transgender on Dec. 1 on Instagram. Portner shared her support publicly at the time.

“I am so proud of @elliotpage,” Portner wrote on Instagram after sharing a screenshot of Page’s announcement. “Trans, queer and non-binary people are a gift to this world.”

“I also ask for patience and privacy but that you join me in the fervent support of trans life every single day,” Portner added. “Elliot’s existence is a gift in and of itself. Shine on sweet E. Love you so much.”
