Former NFL head coach Jeff Fisher is reportedly interested in taking over the Montana State Bobcats.
According to Colton Pool, the former Rams and Titans coach “has expressed interest in becoming Montana State’s next head coach.” (RELATED: David Hookstead Is The True King In The North When It Comes To College Football)
Fisher tweeted a photo of himself flying into Bozeman over the weekend.
I have deleted an earlier tweet for the sake of clarity and accuracy.

It’s wild to me that Fisher, who was a head coach in the NFL for more than two decades, is interested in coaching FCS football.
You know a man really has an itch to scratch when he’s reportedly open to taking over Montana State after being an NFL coach.
NFL coaches make several million dollars. FCS head coaches make less than position coaches in the P5 and the NFL.
Fisher would have to take a dramatic pay cut from what he earned coaching the Rams and Titans.
Having said that, if you’re going to take over an FCS program, Bozeman is a hell of a place to do it. It’s an amazing city, the entire area revolves around the program, the facilities are solid and there’s a gigantic fanbase.
In terms of FCS jobs, Montana State is right at the top of the list.
We’ll see if he snags the spot, but it would be a hell of a story if Fisher returned to coaching by joining MSU.
