Kansas basketball coach Bill Self has agreed to a lifetime contract.
The Jayhawks announced Friday morning that the legendary basketball coach has inked a lifetime deal with the program. (RELATED: David Hookstead Is The True King In The North When It Comes To College Football)
The lifetime deal is a five-year rolling deal that automatically adds another year at the end of every season, according to the release.

This is a great move by the Jayhawks and it pretty much guarantees that Bill Self will never coach anywhere else.
While lifetime contracts are incredibly rare, they are worth it when it comes to men who are the faces of programs.
There’s no other way to describe Self.

When you think of Kansas basketball, you think of Bill Self and all of his accomplishments, which include a national title and three Final Fours.
Even after a relatively disappointing season this past year, there was never any doubt about whether or not Bill Self and the Jayhawks are married forever.

He’s 100% the right man to lead the program and he’ll now do it until he decides to hang up his whistle.
