Quinn Ewers is reportedly headed to Ohio State earlier than expected.
There has been some chatter about whether or not Ewers would play his senior year of high school football or if he’d go to Columbus early. One of the biggest factors at play was that Ewers can earn NIL money as soon as he arrives at OSU, which is not allowed while playing high school football in Texas. Now, it sounds like the phenom quarterback has made a decision. According to Justin Wells, the star passer is enrolling early with the Buckeyes in time for training camp and he’ll be eligible to play this season.

First and foremost, props to Ewers for being on the verge of making some serious cash in the coming days. He’s going to rake in NIL money, and we always love watching people get paid.

Secondly, and much more importantly, OSU’s QB room is ridiculously stacked with the addition of Ewers. C.J. Stroud is almost certainly going to start week one, but the hype around Ewers matches the hype we saw around Trevor Lawrence when he went to Clemson.
Will Ewers see the field much this season? I’d lean towards saying no, especially if Stroud stays healthy all year.
However, the Buckeyes are in a great position. No matter what happens, they’ll have a great guy under center.
