Bryce Young had long been viewed as the likely starter after Mac Jones departed for the NFL, and it’s now a done deal.
Young will command the offense to open the season Sept. 4.
Bryce Young is the A-Day MVP.
He finished with 333 yards and 1 touchdown on 25-of-44 passing.

The Heisman hype surrounding Young has been borderline deafening as we enter the 2021 campaign and just about everyone expects him to be Nick Saban’s next superstar.
Even if he’s a fraction as competent as Mac Jones was last season, the Crimson Tide are going to be in great position to fight for another national title.
Young is athletic and capable of making any throw necessary.
If you’re a fan of Alabama and Nick Saban, you have to be feeling very happy right now. Young is the best QB on the roster and it’s now time to roll with him against the Hurricanes. It’s going to be a very fun Saturday!
