Kristen Bell posed for pictures with the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s officers and the internet reacted with both anger and praise for one of Hollywood’s most liberal actresses.

The pictures were shared by the sheriff’s department on Instagram with a caption that reads, “Today, we had the absolute pleasure of meeting @kristenanniebell, who was hands down, the kindest human ever. There truly never is a dull moment at Lancaster! #LASD #AV411 #myherowearsabadge.”

The original post was made in November. When pictures later surfaced on Twitter, “The Good Place” star was called out for posing for photos with law enforcement since she made posts in support of the Black Lives Matter movement. Shortly after the report came out about the backlash against the “Frozen” star, supporters of Bell tweeted how “absurd” the attacks were, in part, because they believe “all cops are not bad.”
“This is absurd… all cops are not bad… and no one ever researches people before taking selfie’s or pictures with someone.. the fact that this tweet is trying to place unwarranted hate or blame on @KristenBell is just sad,” one person tweeted. “She deserves better…”
