Kristen Bell posed for pictures with the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s officers and the internet reacted with both anger and praise for one of Hollywood’s most liberal actresses.

The 41-year-old actress stopped by the Lancaster Sheriff’s station, got a tour and took pictures with several of the officers, InsideTheMagic.net reported in a piece published Wednesday. (RELATED: Kristen Bell Thinks Nonconsensual ‘Snow White’ Kiss Is ‘Weird’)

The pictures were shared by the sheriff’s department on Instagram with a caption that reads, “Today, we had the absolute pleasure of meeting @kristenanniebell, who was hands down, the kindest human ever. There truly never is a dull moment at Lancaster! #LASD #AV411 #myherowearsabadge.”

The original post was made in November. When pictures later surfaced on Twitter, “The Good Place” star was called out for posing for photos with law enforcement since she made posts in support of the Black Lives Matter movement. The police department has faced criticism in the past for some members “glorifying violence,” the Los Angeles Times has reported. (RELATED: Kristen Bell Performs ‘Frozen’ Songs For Irma Victims)

“Landlord celebrities will post about Juneteenth but at the end of the day their allies are the cops that protect their property at the expense of human life,” one person tweeted.

Shortly after the report came out about the backlash against the “Frozen” star, supporters of Bell tweeted how “absurd” the attacks were, in part, because they believe “all cops are not bad.”

“This is absurd… all cops are not bad… and no one ever researches people before taking selfie’s or pictures with someone.. the fact that this tweet is trying to place unwarranted hate or blame on @KristenBell is just sad,” one person tweeted. “She deserves better…”

The “Bad Moms” star has yet to make any public comments on her social media account about the backlash or the support.
