Urban Meyer has completely and totally denied ever kicking Josh Lambo.

Shortly before Meyer was fired, former Jags kicker Josh Lambo accused the three-time national champion of kicking him during a practice. (RELATED: David Hookstead Is The True King In The North When It Comes To College Football)

Now, Meyer has hit back and he made his position crystal clear.

“You know, when you come out and say there was a player kicked. That’s not true. That’s not true at all,” Meyer told Outkick’s Dan Dakich during a Monday interview.

“I certainly did not…To kick someone? Come on. I’ve done this 37 years. Kick a player? The other players came up to me and said, ‘We saw the whole thing,'” Meyer responded when asked point blank whether or not he had kicked Lambo. Briefly, it did sound like he said he lightly tapped him. You can listen to his full comments below.

Look, I have no idea whether or not Meyer kicked Lambo or not. The only two people who know for sure are Meyer and Lambo.

What I know for sure is that Meyer isn’t doing himself any favors by bringing up one of the worst allegations against him.

He might never coach again anyways, but what I know for sure is that he’s not helping his cause by starting discussions about whether or not he kicked a player.

The Jaguars fired him and everything that went down in Jacksonville is in the past. That’s where he needs to let it stay if he wants to move one.

Rehashing old allegations isn’t going to help him at all. It’s going to do the exact opposite.

Meyer should disappear for a few months, crack open a few beers and return once his fall from grace is forgotten. That’s the best advice I can give him!
