SEC commissioner Greg Sankey wants Nick Saban and Jimbo Fisher to end their war.

The Alabama coach and Texas A&M leader have been very publicly feuding ever since Saban claimed the Aggies bought their recruiting class. (RELATED: David Hookstead Is The True King In The North When It Comes To College Football)

The situation quickly unraveled into one of the most insane situations we’ve seen in recent college football memory. However, the man responsible for keeping the SEC running wants cooler heads to prevail.

“What we have to do is turn the page. Because we have to think about what we see as the future, rather than the frustration that exists around the pace of change that’s happening. And really that’s at the heart of a lot of issues,” Sankey explained to Outkick when discussing the situation.

While I’m sure Sankey would love to see everyone move forward, I think I can speak for college football fans everywhere when I say that’s the last thing we want to see happen.

You rarely get content this good in the college football world, especially during the offseason. This might be the coolest offseason drama of my lifetime.

Saban and his former employee are engaged in open warfare over alleged NIL spending and fans can’t get enough. If Sankey knew what was best for him, he’d be milking this for all it was worth.

The A&M/Alabama game October 8 can’t get here fast enough. It’s going to be absolutely awesome to watch Saban stomp all over Fisher. Bring it on!
