Former NFL Cornerback Antonio Dennard Shot And Killed

Former NFL player Antonio Dennard was shot over the weekend and died early Sunday morning.

Dennard, 32, was killed outside of a bar in Reading, Pennsylvania, according to TMZ Sports. Berks County Coroner’s Office stated that he died at 3:15 AM on Oct. 16 from a gunshot wound, according to Fox News.

Dennard was shot at a bar and restaurant in Muhlenberg Township, according to Fox News. His death was ruled a homicide and is currently under investigation, according to TMZ Sports. An autopsy will be conducted on Tuesday, according to People.

Dennard was a former NFL cornerback who was signed to the Jacksonville Jaguars in 2012 as a free agent from Langston University in Oklahoma. He played four seasons at NAIA’s Langston University before being drafted into the NFL. He finished his professional football career in the Arena Football League, according to Jaguars Wire. Dennard also played with the Arizona Rattlers of the Indoor Football League in 2015, according to People.
