A new poll released Wednesday shows a whopping 93% of voters are concerned with inflation just three weeks out from the midterm elections.

A Morning Consult/Politico poll found that 93% of registered voters say they are “concerned” with inflation while 71% say they are “very concerned.” The poll was conducted between Oct. 14-16 among 2,005 voters with a +/-2 percentage point margin of error.

The poll showed a majority of those voters believe inflation is only getting worse. Among those polled, 42% said that economic issues such as jobs, taxes and unemployment were driving factors in their voting decision. When broken down by party lines, 52% of Republicans said economic issues were their top priority, while 44% of Independents agreed. Just 31% of Democrats said economic issues were a priority.

Still, three out of four Democrats said the economy would play a role in their voting decision while 90% of Republicans said it would. Sixty-four percent of voters blamed the Biden administration for record-high inflation.

The poll also found that 46% of voters trusted Republicans in Congress to handle inflation while 37% trust Democrats. Independents also put their trust in Republicans, with 43% saying Republicans could better handle the issue.

Democrats have been trying to deflect, with President Joe Biden warning recently that if Republicans win in November, inflation is “going to get worse.” (RELATED: Scarborough Says He’d Be ‘Very Surprised’ If Republicans Don’t Sweep The Midterms)

Inflation increased at 0.4% in September from August while “core” inflation, which measures the price of goods excluding food and energy, hit a 40-year-high. Core inflation rose 6.6% year-over-year.

Biden, however, said that “voters have to decide, Democrats are working to bring down the cost of things and to talk about the kitchen table, prescription drugs, to health insurance and energy bills and so much more. Standing up for working people, the right to get a raise and get a better job.”

“If Republicans win, inflation is going to get worse. It’s that simple,” he added.

Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg said Sunday while on ABC’s “This Week” that Democrats have actually been wildly successful and voters just haven’t recognized it.

“I do think we run the risk – because there have been so many accomplishments – right, the CHIPS Act which is bringing manufacturing back to the United States the PACT Act, getting veterans the benefits they deserve, of course the infrastructure bill, the Inflation Reduction Act, on top of that American Rescue plan … in some ways having achieved so much legislatively makes it hard to talk about it all at once because there are just so many accomplishments.”
