Anna Faris named Ivan Reitman as the director who allegedly touched her inappropriately on set, according to an Oct. 19 episode of her podcast, “Anna Faris Is Unqualified.”

Reitman, who passed away eight months ago in February 2022, was known for directing the films “My Super Ex-Girlfriend,” and “Ghostbusters.” Faris said her interactions with Reitman were far from professional.

“One of my hardest film experiences was with Ivan Reitman. I mean, the idea of attempting to make a comedy under this, like, reign of terror — he was a yeller,” Faris, 45, said during the episode.

He “slapped my ass,” Faris alleged, also claiming Reitman yelled at her on the first day of filming, which left her feeling “angry, hurt and humiliated.”

“He would bring down somebody every day … and my first day, it was me,” Faris told writer Lena Dunham.

Dunham asked Faris if anyone had stepped in to help, to which she replied, “No. It was, like, 2006.”

Wednesday’s episode was not first time Faris has made allegations about being mistreated on set. She spoke about one incident from set during an episode of her podcast in 2017, but she did not include specific names at the time, the New York Post reported. “I was doing a scene where I was on a ladder and I was supposed to be taking books off a shelf and he slapped my ass in front of the crew so hard,” Faris alleged in 2017, according to the NY Post.

She said she ignored the reported behavior at the time. “‘Well, this isn’t a thing. Like, it’s not that big of a deal. Buck up, Faris. Like, just giggle.’ But it made me feel small. He wouldn’t have done that to the lead male,” Faris said, according to the outlet.
