Conservative economist and academic at Brown University Glenn Loury ripped into critical race theorist and activist Ibram X. Kendi on an episode of The Glenn Show on Tuesday.

The episode, which featured American linguist John McWhorter, dealt with the subject of affirmative action in light of two recent Supreme Court cases being heard on the issue this week. The court is expected to rule against race-based admissions practices in colleges that take federal funding. “I take umbrage at the lionization of light-weight, empty-suited, empty-headed motherfuckers like Ibram X. Kendi, who couldn’t carry my book bag,” Loury said on the show.

“I’m sorry he hasn’t read a fucking thing! If you ask him what Nietzsche said, he would have no idea,” he continued, as McWhorter laughed.

“I’m sorry, I’m sorry, he’s an unserious, superficial, empty-suited, light-weight. He’s not our equal, not even close.”

Kendi has a history of making racially charged comments. In May, he said he was disturbed that his daughter chose a white doll. He has claimed that Republicans are the “party of white supremacy.” Kendi is paid top dollar for his opinions, reportedly earning $20,000 for an hour-long speech at the University of Michigan.
